| Synopsis: | Cossy happens to be the last child in a family of thirteen children all girls,her father Mr Chike , a jobless and drunkard old man who cares for nothing than to live his life gambling , her mother Mrs Agnes happens to be the bread winner of the family through her road side sells of Akara Balls and fried Yam , most of her children have been sent to relatives and friends for servant purposes and she was left with just four namely Mary,Susan, Clara,and Cossy. their father comes home every evening after so much drinking and descend on Agnes beating her . one day the children decided to fight for their mother and that result to the death of their father as he ran into a moving motor bike on the road and died on the spot. After the death of Chike poverty descended on their family so hard that Agnes sends Mary to another relative in the city to enable her carter for the rest three who are still in school . Clara and Susan starts to flight about running after men, as men takes advantage of there situation . their Landlord was not left out as he exhange sex from the girls in place of house rent. cossy was disvirgined by a boy who also took advantage of her and when her elder sisters heard of her predicaments the only help in showing her how play the game better , cossy hit the street running after everything in trousies to an alarming rate that even neighbours warns Agnes to curtail the illicit characters of her children which she ignores . One day nemesis starts to catch up with the girls as the starts to die one after the other . First was Susan who is ashmatic , she died in a hotel room while making love to a boy , followed by Mary who returned from the city with a bastard child , it was when Clara died in the hand of ritualist as they took her for a lift that Agnes starts to warn cossy to repent from her ways and turn up a new leaf but she refused and decided not to say die to any problem she might encounter . Then in one of her hurstling day she got involved in a motor accident and was rushed to the hospital where she was discovered a chronic h. i. v carrier . On the process to revive her she died as a result of internal bleeding. |
