Synopsis:Describing children’s aspirations and frustrations as they rise through the football factories, this documentary describes the strengths and raw talent of young players as they embark on a journey into the highly commercial world of sport. We discovered that established clubs were prepared to falsify children’s birth certificates in order to keep them playing on side for longer, that families put a huge amount of pressure onto the kids as they are totally dependent on the few coins paid out by the agents. Also we disclose professional players who change their names in order to sign better contracts with competing clubs. Meanwhile the children dream of wearing their national colours at professional level. For the few who succeed, there are thousands of discarded and disillusioned souls. Exposed to the inevitable obstacles along the way, where do their dreams collapse?
