Commercial agent

Hello everyone
I'll make it short and sweet. I have been approached by a commercial agency that are expanding their client list. I've had a screen test yesterday and just got an email saying that they would like to represent me.

The agency looks good but my concern is the following. The contract states that they will be the only one that can put me up for commercial auditions (and it's a 12months contract). At presently I'm also writing to acting agencies so would having a commercial agent put the acting agencies off? I'm talking about the fact that my potential acting agency wouldn't be able to put me through commercial auditions.

Thank you very much in advance!

Fab

Yes I thunk it would. Most agencies like to represent you across the board and commercials are where the money is, unless you're very established in screen and stage it would make you far less marketable. Why won't the commercial agency rep you for acting?

It's because they are an agency for presenters/comedian/commercials only. I've emailed exactly what you said about the being established with an extensive CV! Thank you very much Suzanna! :)
