Safe hard rock singing
Hi all!
I was watching the new great band Gossip on tv the other day and i just love it when she goes for those high notes in that kind of hard rock scream/sing voice!
But i reckon if i try, i might kill my voice. Can anyone suggest a 'safe' method or something i can try to be able to achieve this sound.

Ken Tamplin has a great vocal course which will cover anything you may need to scream or fry without damaging your voice. You should be able to Google him or find him on YouTube where he takes you through various techniques and styles.

Mix singing, not belt! I coach singers in all contemporary styles, including rock and metal. You want to 'scream' in your mask, rather than your throat. I do in-person and Skype sessions. My site is called Voice Coach World. If I have time tonight I will write a blog entry on this topic :)
