Is it wise to have an agent?

In America, nothing seems to be done without an agent, but in my country The Netherlands we seem to do everything without one. But since I also write for an international market, would it be wise to have an agent? And if so, how to get one?

I have not got enough experience to answer this correctly but I once heard "you don't seek agents, agents seek you" which will answer your question with prompt: 'No'
Managers however will represent your name towards agencies so I'd say go with that.

Thanks. For now, I create my own projects, so no need for one yet. But in America, it's not really a choice.

Hi. Here in Africa, Tanzania Agent seek you. But you can seek an Agent when you want to market your service.

Thanks, Emmanuel. But I assume you need to put your profile out there.
