Paula was born in Northern Ireland and spent much of her late teens travelling through Europe, Asia and Australia. She returned to Northern Ireland in 1992 to pursue her career in earnest, directing an award winning documentary “The Happy Gordons”  and an award nominated drama “Walk With Me”. In March 2000 Paula moved to New York where she worked with Killer Films learning about the USA film industry. Christine Vachon sent her to Los Angeles to work as 2nd AD on the Bruce Wagner directed “Women in Film” with Portia De Rossi and Beverly D’Angelo. Her first feature script “Bluebird” is currently optioned by Jigsaw Pictures in Los Angeles and she is currently working on her third stageplay.

2005                                “Haka” Maori Epic about 19th century pioneers in New Zealand and the Maori wars. In development. Rufus Sewell attached.

 

2003                    “Caius”          8 minute drama starring Nigel Hastings, directed by Marco Piana,.

 

2000           “Salvage” 7 minute drama starring Orla Brady and Clare Cathcart, directed by Maeve Murphy for New Moon Productions, commissioned by UTV, NIFC, Belfast City Council and British Screen.

1996                           “All About Kudos” Documentary pilot, development funded by Channel 4 Television, shot on location in New York.

 

1995                    “Splitting” for Battered Britain Series.  A documentary commissioned by Northern Ireland Film Council and shown on Channel 4 Television. Acquired by SBS Australia 1996. Galway Film Fleadh 1996, Cork Film Festival 1996. Exposure Film Festival, Brisbane, Australia..

 

1994           “The Happy Gordons” 26 minute documentary. Broadcast WNET Channel 13 New York, SBS Australia.  WINNER 7th International Lesbia Film Festival Paris, Melbourne Film Festival, New York L&G Film Festival, Los Angeles
