| My name is Mariama Veronica Dumbuya, originally from Sierra Leone- West Africa. A graduate from the University of Derby, with a Bsc in Psychology, Popular Culture and Media. I am a dedicated Christian and a fun loving human being to be around. I am wonderful person to know, I like meeting new people and I enjoy socialising and networking. My aims and objectives in life is to be one of the best black African women personalities in the media industry. My focus is to do ground breaking documentaries about Africa and the seriousness of poverty in Africa and the rest of the world. I aim to be one of the blessed ones' who will carry the torch that my ancestors have fought so hard for, in order to show that black is not only beautiful but also knowledgeable and intelligent. Being able to witness the remarkable presidental election of OBAMA BARACK in the US, has given me the faith to know that dreams should never be killed but to be pursued as notthing is impossible with God. I am an enthusiastic individual seeking to secure a position in the Media field. I am seeking the opportunity to develop professionally and academically in the fields incorporated within my degree program. I would like to advance myself in areas where I will be working within the Media doing ground breaking documentaries and presenting. I feel that Popular Culture and Media are relevant and transferable to posts in areas that involve interacting directly with young individuals and people in general. Overall I would like to be given the opportunity to work in a challenging but exciting and rewarding environment.
