Work Experience:
Freelance 2005 – Today
Has worked on various TV, video, and film productions on a freelance basis. Lit and shot story elements and live shots for many shows and news programs for various networks including: Investigation Discovery, CNN, CNBC, CN-8, Alhurra, E!, Biography, Fox Sports, The Weather Channel, “Indoors Out“ (on DIY), “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, and “The Late Show with David Letterman”. Have also shot elements for a variety of documentaries, cooking programs, reality shows, corporate videos, and events. Has worked as a field audio technician on productions for PBS’s “American Experience,” the History Channel, CNN, C-SPAN, and others, as well as several network live shots and news stories. Traveled to Uganda in 2006 to produce, shoot, write, and edit (one man band) videos for NGOs. Gaffer on “The Isle of Sark” for the 2008 Boston 48hr film festival. Visited Nairobi, Kenya, in 2009 to help teach a class on video production to slum residents there.
WTIC Fox 61 News at Ten: Photojournalist / Microwave Truck Operator, Hartford CT. 2002 - 2005
General assignment ENG photographer shooting and editing every thing from breaking news, to features, to sports. Also operated and maintained a microwave truck for live shots and tape feeds. Some times did all that at once. Often worked alone conducting interviews and gathering the facts while shooting the story. Edited on Avid Adrenaline, and tape to tape.
Cable News Network (CNN): Video Editor / Field Audio Technician / Photographer, CNN Headquarters, Atlanta GA. 1997 - 2002
Primarily a video editor for CNN International, Domestic, and Headline News. Edited packages, voice-overs, sound bites, etc, on Avid News Cutter, as well as Betacam, Digital Betacam, and Beta SX tape. Over two years experience as an ENG field audio technician on rotations or special assignments working with the Field Production Unit, Features, the Southeast Bureau, and the National Desk. Shot various package elements, interviews, live shots, live / live to tape events, etc.
Freelance 1995 – 1997
Worked on various productions for the Massachusetts Corporation for Educational Television; Food New England; SITE Productions; Cablevision of Cambridge, Boston, and Brookline; C-SPAN, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital; Boston Medical Communications; and Video Biographies; and as a photographer, editor, field producer, audio technician, lighting director, technical director, and production assistant.

Responsible for cable casting all productions; making computer graphics; maintaining a billboard channel announcing services and events to the community; teaching field production and editing classes for members; and programming the automatic play back system.

Skills and Hobbies:
Excels at lighting interviews and live shots on location, or with a portable green screen, and in shooting B-roll that really tells the story. Has experience working with a variety broadcast cameras and formats including HD, HDV, Betacam SP, SX, Digital Betacam, DV-CAM, DVC-PRO, DVC-PRO 50, and Mini DV.
Comfortable with Sound Devices and Shure audio mixers, Lectrosonics and Sennheiser wireless microphone systems, Sennheiser shotgun microphones, and other microphones. Has edited with Avid News Cutter, Avid Adrenaline, and Final Cut Pro.
Familiar with Windows and Macintosh computer systems. Speaks functional (but not fluent) French. Also enjoys still photography, animation, drawing, writing, hiking, juggling, locksmithing, and model rockets.
