| Impulse is managed and owned by Kavita Joshi, an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India with over 10 years of experience in filmmaking and TV production.
We create independent documentaries; as also commissioned / information films. We handle India-end shooting for foreign productions. And organise filmmaking workshops and training programmes.
We have produced films for NRK Norway, Public Service Broadcasting Trust, Commonwealth of Learning, IIT Kanpur and others. We have also been the India-end producer for the projects of Acumen Fund USA.
We have conducted training programmes for Adobe India, IIT Kanpur, Chetana Media Thrissur, IAWRT, colleges of Delhi University and other organisations; and offer short term courses that are open to the general public.

NAANI (under production): On my mother’s mother; on family, history, memory, and what we collectively choose to forget.
TALES FROM THE MARGINS: Twelve women disrobe in public on the streets of Manipur, in protest… For 6 years a young woman has been on a fast-to-death demanding justice; she is kept under arrest and is forcibly nose-fed. Why are the women of Manipur using their bodies both as their battlefield and as their last weapon? Tales of courage and protest from a conflict torn, marginalised region.

SOME ROOTS GROW UPWARDS: (For Public Service Broadcasting Trust) Shot in violence-torn Manipur, the film explores the work of acclaimed theatre director Ratan Thiyam.
