Objectives

Short Term

To obtain a foothold in the Film Production and Music industries, working in a job to utilise all the skills, which I have learnt over the past five years. Begin to understand what is required within a creative position and to continue learning about this expanding industry.

Long Term

Become comfortable in a job working with and around others to produce films and music to the highest level. Hopefully in to future to advance modern film making within the public domain and alter the perception of the movie going masses in terms of contemporary cinema.

Skills Summary

Primary Skills

I am trained in an abundance of industry standard film equipment, hardware and software, film production techniques, and music studio recording and performing with specialisation in digital filming, digitisation, animation, compression, digital processing, video and sound processing, 3D scene creation, studio technology and multimedia authoring.

Proficient in, with examples of, the following programs:

Avid Pro, Premier, After Effects, Encore, Photoshop, Illustrator, Coral Draw, Pro Tools, Cool Edit Pro, Cubase SX & VST, Reason. And fully competent in all Microsoft Office programs.

Film Equipment used:

Various cameras including; Cannon XL1 & XL2, studio Betacams, Panasonic AG range and others, jibs, tracking, numerous lighting rigs, full hardware 5.1 Pro Tools suite. Also many other items of grip for film production and recording equipment for sound both on location and studio work.

Other Beneficial Skills

I have played as a professional session musician for a period of time also working with a couple of theatrical productions in the band.

I have designed and made a number of websites and have designed adverts and posters for companies and events.

I have worked as a barman for three years in pubs and restaurants. And have experience in food preparation and waiting.

Hobbies and Interests

I love to travel and have just come back from a month backpacking in Cuba with some friends who I travelled all around Europe with last year. Having spent long periods of time in Kenya and Canada also I really want to go everywhere i can in the world.

I'm a keen sportsman playing and help co-run the Stafford University 1st and 2nd XI football teams, along with playing badminton regularly and cricket in season. Extreme sports also are a big attraction too recently having done a skydive and into my biking.

I also have a passion for music and love to play. I Have played guitar for ten years and for five years piano and bass (grade 8) and play in a band currently giging round Hertfordshire area. Film and cinema is also one of my great interests hence studying a course on it.
