Employed as part of the craft team in Leeds , working direct to the productions as a construction or standby carpenter as well as set building in the studios workshop . Working directly with designers to create their ideas . Building and rigging scenery for all aspects of the production from stunts , fires and explosions to sets , scenery and prop making .
From January 2006 to 2009 I was employed as construction manager and primary carpenter on Heartbeat . Providing a construction and standby service for the production as well as running a workshop , building all the scenery and any props the production required , recruiting men as and when needed , completing paperwork and managing a budget .
