| Founded on July 29th, 1993 in order to produce John Mighton's A Short History of Night at Oshawa Little Theatre, Triple Take Productions (my company) is a unique, Toronto-based theatre, film and television production company dedicated to producing exceptionally creative plays and films ranging from Pirandellian-style characterization, to zany science fiction films which have aired numerous times on SPACE: The Imagination Station, SCREAM, and Drive-In Classics. Our mandate is to produce whimsical, yet thought-provoking Canadian theatre, film and television and present it to the Canadian audience, and beyond - all with a quirky sense of humour, and sense of style. We also co-produce with other distinctive theatre and media companies in order to enhance our range in genres and the substance of our projects. The company was originally founded by Regan Macaulay and Rob Downes. Regan Macaulay is the Artistic Director, Producer of all projects carried out by the company and Manager of Triple Take. To date, I have produced over twenty plays in twelve different productions under Triple Take, as well as nine short films/videos and one feature film over the past thirteen years. I have directed seven of these plays and all nine of the short films (either portions of or in their entirety) as well as the feature film. I have written or co-written five plays (two shorts, two one-acts and one full-length), two teleplays (both one hour dramas), four feature-length screenplays and am currently working on three children’s picture books and a novel. As of June 1998, I graduated from the Radio and Television Arts program at Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto.
