Theatre

 

Both performing within and observing various forms of theatre, television and film.

  • Professional Acting training throughout my youth at L.A.M.D.A and Stagecoach Performing Arts School, as well as my Arts degree in Applied Theatre from the Central School of Speech and Drama.
  • Adept in screenwriting, film composition, directing and post production using Final Cut Pro.
  • Work Experience at the Edinburgh Festival in 1997 and 1999. 
  • Work experience at The Derngate Theatre, Northampton.
  • Past member of several amateur theatrical groups including The Swan Theatre Company, Bedford Dramatic Society, Show Co (Bedford), the Sharnbrook Mill Theatre (Bedfordshire) and Irchester Players (Northamptonshire).
  • Theatre Practitioner – ‘Grimms Fairy Tales 2007’ as part of Turn the Page Theatre Company, where I undertook several roles, namely Co-Deviser, Performer, Musical Composer. This was a piece of touring Applied Theatre that visited over 20 schools in Cornwall in Summer 2007.

Music

 

Performing and writing my own work. Multi-instrumental skills on Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Singing and Music production (using Cubase Programs, Soundtrack Pro and Garage Band on the Apple Mac).

  • Collaborated on the album ‘Shortly after Take Off’ by Sally Crewe and the Sudden Moves (12XU Records) recorded at Air Studios, and Mastered at Abbey Road, London. Credited as Bass Guitar, Guitar and Guest Vocals.
  • Performed as Part of the professional group ‘Grafton Street’, touring UK 2000-2001. 
  • Wrote and produced the soundtrack for all 3 short films that I have worked on.
  • Collaborated on the score and libretto for ‘An Artist and A Mariner’, a musical written by Amanda Stuart-Fisher, performed at the Minack Theatre, Cornwall, Summer 2005.

(Part-Time Vacationer) Trademark and Records Clerk

Working within the established Patent Attorney Firm of Carpmaels and Ransford, during my holidays from University I would temp as a Trademark and Record Clerk. Here my chief responsibilities were the handling of new client Patents, processing and inputting data onto the intranet, formatting and producing search reports across Europe and the Americas, client contact, communications and analysing the correspondence sent by the client in order to summarise the Patent for the Patent Attorneys and the Senior Partners.

Mobile Telephone and Communications Advisor

Having trained extensively as a Medium and SME Business Sales Advisor after working at The Link, I moved to BT Local Business, as it specialised only in dealing with local business clients. My role there was specifically to design and sell uniquely catered-for business tariffs to BT business customers within the local area. After initial contact, I was given a budget from BT, which I then had to use to work out individual packages that would benefit each specific client, and out-compete existing mobile telephone tariffs that were already available on the market.

After attending several sales skills training workshops, and consistently beating targets, I was promoted to Deputy Manager where my responsibilities extended to stock control, key handling, people managing, timetabling shift work, and extensive customer service.
