I have recently graduated from Newport University after studying Documentary Photography (BA). I am now looking to get into TV production and am prepared to start in any position available in order to work my way to the top. I am a very determined person with a passion for many things mainly photography, film, documentary’s and travel. I am a reliable, flexible, patient and very curious person with much enthusiasm to learn. I am confident and sociable and enjoy regularly meeting new people.

My portfolio mainly comprises an autobiographical style. During my degree, I developed this style by photographing myself and attempting to capture and portray the often unapparent internal processes such as the significant thoughts and feelings that were relevant to me at the time. I also spent a considerable amount of time photographing close family, friends, and indeed, personal partnerships that captured the sometimes complex dynamics of these relationships. I am very inspired by the photography works of Nan Goldin, Richard Billingham, and Cindy Sherman whose self-portraiture and autobiographical documentaries I both admire and relate to. My interest in Sherman’s work specifically relates to her feminist standpoint and this is portrayed in her work.

My ability to capture people’s experiences and emotion is something that as a photographer, I have become very interested in and I would like to now change my direction with the intension of eventually using this same style with visual movement. For my dissertation project I created a three-minute stills film documenting a day in the life of my Father as a London taxi driver. I used a digital Dictaphone and a MAC I-Movie programme.

I look forward in hearing back from somebody with regards to discussing the opportunity of gaining experience with you.
