We provide wigs and hair pieces for film, television, theatre and photo-shoots.
Our vast stock of over 12,000 items, encompassing both hair-lace and acrylic, enables you to hire the exact colour, size, length and specification suitable for your production, and thus in many cases avoid the time consuming and costly process of having a new wig made to measure. However, we are also able to tailor-make a wig to your exact requirements, when appropriate to the production need.
Our experienced stylists can dress your selected hair pieces to suit the period and genre of your project, thus providing you with a complete service.
Ideally we would conduct a fitting at our premises, but are experienced in working with designers to find alternative means where advance availability of the artist is difficult. Our History:

Directors Philippa Devon and Alan Godleman had accumulated a combined experience of over 50 years at the BBC, when they decided to bring that knowledge to bear on an independent venture specialising in what they know best.

Having managed the BBC Wig Store for many years, they were in a perfect position to step in when the BBC decided to close the department. Realising that an important resource was about to disappear from the film and television industry, they negotiated to take over the entire wigs collection, and under a new banner The Wig Store Ltd, are once again making it available to the entertainment industry.
