I am a proactive sound artist, sound designer and sound recordist who has undertaken a number of commissions, displayed my work in exhibitions in the UK and abroad, as well as engineered and ‘set -up’ the technical spaces in which to display my work. I have exhibited in spaces such as The Crafts Council, Area 10, The Sobell Community Centre and Greenwich Festival at The Cutty Sark in London, Kimberley House in Norfolk and Manosque in SW France.

Some of my works are experimental, I build and experiment with microphones to express a visual aspect of sonic feedback, illustrating how space can be vibrantly occupied by natural materials forming organic spaces to express phonological movement.

I have undertaken a number of collaborations with other visual artists and composers, including bamboo artist Lee Dalby (making and designing a ‘soundscape’ for Ushida Findlay Archtects’ Bamboo Wall (2000), and musical composer and Rabbi Rebekka Wedell, for a live musical performance for The Jewish Music Society’s Millennium Commission. I have managed the set-up of all audio equipment for these performances.

At the start of 2005 however, whilst volunteering my assistance working at LCC’s ‘sound stores’ in the College’s Sound Department, I undertook several short, medium and feature films for various crews mainly as a Sound Recordist, but also played the roles of sound editor and sound designer of post production for some of those films, the latest being award-winning Growing Productions’ “Growing” (Director David Alexander-see w.w.w.growingproductions.co.uk). I have all my own equipment for the above roles and have been using Pro-Tools for editing all post projects.

Most of last year, I was involved in a number of films, but my most recent projects have been 3 documentaries, the latter being the 3 weeks location recording in Botswana of “Voices of The Sand” for an independent director Debbie Rivett.
