Aubs Tredget - Profile:
Following a degree in film and television, specialising in production and including units marketing communication, I spent 10 years in the international freelance film industry. Initially responsible for managing on-set production resources and facilities, I then moved into the production office co-ordinating cast, crew and equipment before assuming budgetary and scheduling responsibility on a range of projects including the successful Australian TV series Heartbreak High and the New Zealand / American blockbuster, Lord of the Rings.
In 2001, in order both to broaden my commercial experience in preparation for developing my own creative projects, I accepted the position of Sales and Marketing Manager with Translux International, one of the biggest UK Film and Television service companies, relocating to London for the role.In 2003 I joined White Light, the dominant West End theatrical lighting company as Marketing Manager. Whilst with both these companies I produced and participated in a number of independent short films and fringe theatre pieces.
In 2007 I co-founded Té Papa Films where I Produced and Production Managed the feature film All Bar Love, which is distributed by Horizon Motion Pictures of Canada. In 2008 I dedicated myself to Té Papa as its Director of Development and Production. During that time we were successful in securing Media Europe funding for our project Three Minutes to Midnight.
In late 2009, in the wake of the global financial crisis, I felt it was appropriate to look for alternative employment in the industry.
