In house engineer and sound designer (March 2009 – Present)

• Began working while finishing a post-graduate diploma at Fanshawe.
• Duties include sound design, voice over recording, session preparation, music editing, dialogue editing and Foley recording in a Pro Tools based studio.
• General PA duties and audio capture during green screen production shoots.
• Product output mediums vary from television, radio, cinema and the Internet.

Company X Audio, Toronto, ON

Paid Internship (Summer of 2008) and freelance engineer (Jan 2009 – Present)

• Duties included sound effects editing, session preparation, music editing, dialogue editing, demo reel edits, Foley recording and quotes for sound design.
• Other tasks included opening and closing the facility, cleaning the studios, tending to clients and making deliveries to marketing agencies.
• Currently working for Company X on a freelance basis; whenever needed.

Quad Studios, Nashville, TN

Internship (Summer of 2007)

• Opened and closed the facility daily which included cleaning, bookkeeping, working reception and preparing each of the four studios for the day’s sessions.
• Tended to clients by having a strong knowledge of every room in order to quickly troubleshoot any problems that arose.
• Assisted freelance and in-house engineers on numerous sessions daily, which required a great deal of versatility.
• Ran errands and took care of any and all duties that came up throughout the day in order to ensure that each client had a professional, productive experience.

Kevin Doyle Music, London, ON

Assistant to Kevin Doyle (September 2008 – April 2009)

• Recorded a variety of talent ranging from church choirs to country artists.
• Main duties included Pro Tools operating, utilizing analog out board gear and placing microphones on the studio floor.

• Knowledge of and experience with industry standard consoles such as Digidesign’s ICON D-Command, ICON D-Control, Control 24, SSL J9000 Series, Sony MXP 3000 and the Neve 8068.
• Excellent ProTools HD and LE skills as well as Reason and Final Cut Pro.
• Proficient with a wide variety of analog outboard gear, digital plug-ins, microphones and signal routing.
• Strong surround sound mixing abilities

• Won the award for “Best Sound In Picture” out of entire graduating class, as well as a scholarship from CARAS for over all achievement both in and outside of school.
• Received the Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship, Millennium Grant and the Young Scholars Bursary as well as Dean’s list recognition for my grades at Fanshawe College.
