About me
Born in London, his initial training within the arts took place at the Cockpit Theatre, Old Vic, Forum and Lyric Youth Theatres. An accomplished actor for 30 years, Anthony was last seen on stage as Gene in the Pulitzer prize winning play 'Yellowman' (Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse production) written by Dael Orlandersmith and directed by Gemma Bodinetz.He was recently the Assistant Director for the Broadway transfer to London of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof directed by Debbie Allen and has just been appointed the Director of Opera Co-Operatives production of West Side Story.
Anthony has directed for Camden Peoples Theatre, Contact Theatre (Manchester), Creative Riddim's Community Theatre, (Bristol) and the Birmingham Arts Festival. He has Assistant Directed for Creative Origins/UK Arts International ('Ragamuffin') and for Chuck Mike in the summer 2009 for the Collective Artistes production of 'The African Company Presents Richard III' by Carlyle Brown.
He works extensively with schools, colleges, public sector bodies and many other organisations to deliver cultural identity/emotional literacy sessions using drama, spoken word and transformational speaking as learning tools.
