12 years as the lead singer of various rock bands. The last 8 years have been spent as the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter for Manchester Psych-Punk band The Madding Crowd. We have released 4 EPs and 1 standalone single, all of which have been released to acclaim and success. We have toured the UK 3 times and played several festivals including headlining a small stage at Tramlines Festival in Sheffield in 2012. I pay Guitar to an intermediate level and have been playing for 15 years. I can also play Bass Guitar, Mandolin and Tenor Banjo to an intermediate level. I am also a Grade 4 in Piano.
As well as releasing our own music independently, The Madding Crowd have provided music for short films and theatre productions, including providing the soundtrack to MaD Theatre Productions' 'Conceived in a Curry House', a biography of the early years of FC United of Manchester produced in association with the club and performed at The Lowry in Salford. Our version of Ian McColl's 'Dirty Old Town', on which I played every instrument and sang lead vocal, provided the soundtrack to the play. -
