About me
I’m 20 years old and I’m from Bournemouth, England.I have Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and sometimes it’s been a bit of a struggle to get my words out throughout life, but it’s never stopped me from going for anything I put my mind to!
COVID-19 has given me a chance to work with other people on Zoom. In the late stages of Summer 2021 I’ve started to take part in Film acting classes with a professional director based in London and I’ve gotten to meet actors from all around the world who are so nice and are really motivated to add to their actor’s toolbox. Previously I’ve learnt about the likes of Stanislavski and Brecht and in these classes I’ve learnt about the work of Stanford Meisner, so that’s one more to the list! I’ve had so much fun during this time and I have added a lot of new information about the Film & TV industry which I've applied to later projects.
Most of my film credits come from studying a Creative Media course for two years. I've very grateful to have gotten the oppotunity to create my own projects as well as collaborating with other people's projects. One of the bigger projects was a short film we, as the college, made which was called "The Creature From Gilman Lake". I played a character named George who basically witnesses all of his friends get murdered by an angry sea creature covered in litter. This was a project made in collaboration with the Dorset Wildlife Trust, who wanted to spread awareness about protecting the environment and it was really fun to be a part of and to watch the final cut!
My inspiration in acting right now is Elizabeth Olsen. I've seen her in the Marvel franchise and standalone projects such as "Sorry For Your Loss", "Ingrid Goes West", etc. There is just something about how she delivers her character on camera and it feels very intriging and beautiful to watch. Her portrayal of Wanda Maximoff changed my casual opinion on Marvel movies and I instantly fell in love with her character arc.
