Additional information:
I am very interested in work that is politically engaging; I have spent a lot of my working life working in the charity sector, having worked for both a disability charity and the UK’s student mental health charity, Student Minds. In addition, as a Politics and Literature graduate, my interest and passion in political and social affairs were driven by my degree. Through these experiences, I have become committed to creating work that has a social impact and raises awareness of issues. From my work in the third sector, I have been taught the importance of listening to your audience and understanding how to effectively portray complicated issues and stories. Consequently, I wish to make theatre that engages all audiences, especially those who would not otherwise attend the theatre, in order to open out these discussions surrounding pressing issues.
