About me
I have over thirty years experience in the film and television industry and have worked on a variety of projects from television news to feature films. The fast paced environment of news has equipped me with on-the-spot decision making skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately when under pressure on such productions 'Panorama and 'Newsnight'.
My experience in TV drama such as 'The Bill' and 'Family Affairs' has enabled me to develop my lighting skills coupled with the discipline of keeping to a tight schedule and budget.
My feature film work, including 'Revenge of Billy the Kid' and, more recently, 'Room 36' have allowed me to develop my creativity and ingenuity in achieving the required lighting effect and atmosphere in the most practical manner possible. Critics have described my cinematography as "magnificently evocative" and "creative".
I am flexible, versatile, proactive and a good communicator. I'm also calm and focussed under pressure. The professionalism and wealth of experience that I bring to a project enable me to bring the director's vision to life quickly, imaginatively and simply.
I believe that my professional and creative approach will allow me to make a positive contribution to its success.
I am a member of The Guild of British Camera Technicians
