About me
Elise Spracklin is an emerging editor in the film and television industry who graduated with honours from Humber College’s highly regarded Film and Television Production Program in 2016. Throughout her time at Humber, Elise was able to edit a variety of short films of different genres. Her most recent, The Land of Nod, a short thriller, has had much success in the festival circuit this past year, and won the runner-up award for “Best Live-Action Student Short Film” at the TIFF Canada’s Top 10 Film Festival 2017.At Humber, Elise had the pleasure of learning from one of Global TV’s technical directors, Eamon Zekkou, and went on to work with him at the 2014 Shaw Media Upfront. She also completed an internship alongside many established editors at Relish Editing and Tendril Design and Animation in her final year. While working at Relish, Elise was able to assist editors in the process of creating commercials for notable brands such as “Nike”, “Volkswagen”, and “Toronto Raptors”.
Elise is currently working in the industry as a freelance editor, with her most recent project being a short profile piece for a well-known Food Network judge from Chopped Canada, Antonio Park. Her past credits include freelance work for corporate production companies such as Key West Video Inc. and Sandbox La Boite a Films Inc. She has also edited independent short films such as Just One Word and provided motion graphics for various projects. Elise hopes to continue expanding her repertoire as an editor and is eager to take on new creative projects to further her professional career.
