About me
Hello, I am a freelance film director. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Swiss Polytechnic in Lausanne, I combined my understanding of spaces with my love for cinema, to make “The Sakakini Palace” - a short documentary about a neglected palace in Downtown Cairo, Egypt. I worked for 3 years as a set designer in commercials in Berlin, as well as a director on a variety of audio-visual content. In 2014 I directed my first major label music video for rapper artist Busdriver (Big Dada/Ninja Tune) and I since returning to my native Italy I worked with various record labels, artists and on several short films including “Notebook” (Best Director Award at the Los Angeles Film Awards and Best Short Film at the Independent Shorts Awards in LA) and most recently "Comet", a scifi experimental journey that was nominated in 4 categories at Berlin Commercial Festival.I can also work with other directors to help them storyboard and visualize their own projects. I storyboard my own projects and I am accustomed to sketching and to translate ideas onto paper. I love the process as I find it a good practice for my third eye :.)
