About me
Teng is a documentary filmmaker based in New York City. She has hands-on experiences in all aspects of documentary production: pitching, researching, filming, directing, editing, and post-production. She has previously worked as a producer for Franco-German network Arté, ABC News and Dutch national broadcaster VPRO. She started her career as a researcher for the New York Times and BBC, among others. The documentary series she produced have been nominated for the best TV program of the Year 2016 in the Netherlands. Teng has a Master’s degree in Documentary filmmaking from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in French Language and Literature. As a documentary director, she is currently filming her feature-length documentary "4kg Dance" about modern women's transitioning into motherhood and editing another "@Beautiful Mountains" about how the Internet and old theatrical art are transforming a disappearing village in China.Skills
