Medb Films is a Kent based production company. The company was incorporated in 2005 by filmmakers Elaine Wickham and Jan Dunn, who merged their slate and resources to produce financially viable feature films for theatrical release. Since incorporation, the company has produced three feature length films, Gypo (starring Paul McGann), Ruby Blue (starring Bob Hoskins) and The Calling (starring Brenda Blethyn) and a handful of short films.

Gypo, the company's first film produced in 2005, earned Medb Films industry recognition, as well as invitations to over a hundred festivals around the world, including Edinburgh International Film Festival and Dublin International Film Festival. Gypo won the "Outstanding Achievement in Production" Award at the 2005 British Independent Film Awards and "Best Feature" at the Frameline Film Festival, as well as the numerous cast awards internationally. A year later Medb produced their second feature Ruby Blue, starring Bob Hoskins, which is currently being handled internationally by Target Entertainment and is set to be released in the UK in April 2008.

Since producing Ruby Blue, they have completed a UK Film Council-funded short film, My Mother, which won "Best Film" at Euroshorts Film Festival and their third feature film The Calling, with a top UK cast, including Brenda Blethyn, Susannah York, Rita Tushingham and Amanda Donohue.

Medb Films also run Medb Independent Film Focus, a trainee initiative supported by the Kent Film Office, Arts & Business and Screen South, which has run three trainee shadowing schemes to date.

Medb Films has been supported by Media Plus, Screen South, Kent Film Office, European Development Fund, the British Council and the British Department of Trade and Industry. Producer Elaine Wickham and writer/director Jan are now represented by William Morris in LA and at the Lou Coulson Associates in London.
