Additional information:
My experience in the film and theater world, as well as the management world have made me a skilled scheduler and leader, that will get the job done
exceptionally, in a timely fashion, and within budget constraints.
I have learned valuable lessons in finance, preparation, and maintaining a cohesive creative
vision through my experience in the film world. As a Producer I have managed the budget for a feature film, and demonstrated my ability to be fiscally responsible through effective budgeting, proper planning, and accurate book keeping. I also have to be able to see the big picture and work with my creative team to ensure the director's vision is being accurately and efficiently brought to life.
As an Assistant Director I have shown my ability to build and run effective schedules. I search for not only the most efficient way to schedule a shoot, but the most effective way, taking into account the needs of the cast, crew, and budget. A well written schedule sets the team up for success while leaving room for creativity and unexpected interruptions.
My years of management experience have helped me to develop an effective interpersonal style
so I can best serve my position and my team. I know how to manage different personalities, and how to encourage team work that plays to the workers' strengths, while helping them to build on their opportunities. I believe that future success relies on developing your employees and challenging them to raise the bar.
Finally, my experience in Stage Management for theater productions was not only the building
blocks of my scheduling and management skills, but also taught me how to think on my feet. In theater if a crisis comes up during a performance, you only have a split second to make a decision, and find a solution, because the show goes on.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
I have a strong understanding of production and post production software and pipelines. I am proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, Movie Magic, Final Cut, Final draft, Adobe, and various other production and office software platforms on both Mac and PC.
