About me
While I was an acting major at NYU, I began my foray into filmmaking. After an 8mm course there, I continued on to take 16mm production class, film directing, and finally a year of film school in Sydney, Australia. My very first professional job on-set was as a sound PA with a great mixer who realized that the pay was lousy. He turned the work into a learning experience and trained me well. After that film, I began script supervising and did several shorts and two features, when the UPM of one of the shoots tapped me to AD. I quickly learned the process for rehearsal, setup, and shooting, and AD'ed several shorts and features.
I have produced and directed two promotional videos for an excellent neo-burlesque performer, and two music videos for a band in Paris, and Cork, Ireland. I also created tutorial videos for the State of Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game, and the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. Personally seeing each project through from the first idea to the final cut, I have become proficient in project management, writing, producing, directing, editing, and visual effects. you can see my reel on my website.
On the acting side, I began to get into voice over, and built a home studio. The skills I acquired through my studio and from my time as sound PA, coupled with my equipment made friends start hiring me for their shoots. I have done production sound/boom on several shorts and webisodes, and sound and camera for the LA Femme Film Festival.
I also teach voice acting in Brentwood with Nancy Wolfson at Braintracks Audio.
