Firstly i apologise if i have written this twice im beginning to hate my laptop!!!
Anyways i hope all you guys and gals are good and not getting too soaked with the rain!!
Right well i've realised that im desperate to do some acting to keep me motivated and thought about putting on a play. Im thinking it would be a great way for us to meet, find a play and put it on to a paying audience and enjoy what we love.
If you are interested let me know, if you can think of plays you'd like to put on let me know that too,

Hello there!
I think I'm not alone in saying I would definitely be interested, although I won't be immediately available. A good venue could be the Camden People's theatre (i think that's the right name) It's across the road from Warren Street station, near the Diorama centre.
As far as plays go, what style would u prefer? Drama, comedy, classic?
I'd definitely be up for this. However, having done it a couple of times before I'm aware of the expense involved and fringe venues are more expensive than ever to hire these days. We'd need to discuss how exactly we'd fund it, but that aside, I'd love to be involved!

well i think we should definitely all meet and put our heads together. Im willing to try most things but my fav would be drama. But I think when we meet we should all have a few ideas up our sleaves or plays we'd like to do, and any ideas of where to do it. Camden Peoples theatre is now on the list!!!

Hi, great idea, though I'm thinking that if a large amount of people want to get involved, say twelve or more, then maybe a showcase of duologues might be better.
You don't have any casting headaches, or worries about getting someone in to direct. Plus, rehearsals would be very easy to plan.
Plus, as far as funding goes, then we all just put in our share of the theatre hire and and rehearsal space. A lot cheaper than paying £250 per head to a company to organise it for you- we are all able to market ourselves pretty well if we are on CCP in the first place.
I know, I know... it's not really what we're all after, maybe it's a good back-up plan!
I probably won't be able to make it on tues, but will keep in touch.
I was just thinking that, about numbers I mean. Too many and space and casting is a problem. Anyway, let's see what we come up with on Tuesday :)
As I have already said to Philly, I have started the wheels turning with another lovely lady on this site, to do a similar thing in the new year. SO if anyone is in the north/east london area as well as good ol' essex and would like to get involved too then let me know :)

guys there are plenty of theatres around and a really good one is the Cockpit theatre on Gateforth st near edgware road tube. it is a box theatre but can be altered. also the courtyard.
there is a play called Servant of two masters recently done by the RSC wicked play large cast. even ROAD, MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM, THE POPE AND THE WITCH. all these are large casts.

A Servant to Two Masters is a hilarious play, have done it in the past and it's a lot of fun - nice one Auday.
it is really hilarious and would love to direct it too, i'm actually considering directing it for a graduation show at one of the drama schools.
there is so much you can do with this play
