Full-Time Faculty, Directing Instructorfor the 2021-2022 Academic yearWe seek a talented Film Director who is passionate about teaching, mentoring students, and building successful learning environments with them.The ideal candidate is a current, active member of the film industry with at least one feature film credit, vast experience in short fiction formats. He/she should leverage professional know-how and expertise on industry protocols and practices to deliver relevant classroom experiences.Candidates should demonstrate excellence in teaching related to the Directing curriculum and working proficiency within a small program specialized in personal attention. He/she will also be able to develop and teach basic and advanced Directing and 1st Assistant Direction-related courses.He/she will be a proactive team player ready to collaborate with colleagues from diverse communities and cultures in interdisciplinary projects and shared sessions.The position carries the expectation for research and University service in addition to teaching responsibilities. Also, we expect leadership in undergraduate programs, curriculum development, mentoring, and startups.
