Project DetailsSeeking a Self-Shooting Filmmaker for 'A Painter in Kyoto', a documentary that will follow an award-winning Landscape Artist as she travels around Kyoto, the historic cultural capital of Japan. She will paint the sights and scenery - learning about Far Eastern culture as she goes. In addition to connecting with the locals, she will take inspiration from legendary Japanese and Western artists - from Hokusai to Monet.
The chosen filmmaker will have an appetite for exploring new cultures, the ability to tell human stories, and an eye for strong imagery.
As you will travel over the course of 4-months accompanied by a female Landscape Artist, female applicants are highly encouraged.
Travel and accommodation will be provided.
After the initial 4-months period, there's the potential for longer-term engagement in the UK. -
