Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, Technical and Building Manager
reach-ats

  • Project Details
Seeking a technical and building manager to head up the established team of technicians for Aylesbury Waterside Theatre. The Technical and Building Manager will be responsible for leading the permanent and casual team of technicians, you'll ensure we offer the highest standards of technical support to many performances and events each year across our main auditorium and studio. Establishing great relationships with the touring companies visiting us is a key part of the role. You'll also be responsible for maintaining the building to a high standard and ensuring there is a positive safety culture throughout the venue team. This is a varied role including a good mixture of both planning, management, and practical technical work.

The Theatre can be found in the heart of Aylesbury, a bustling market town close to the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Theatre boasts a dynamic program of electrifying West End productions, live music, dance, unparalleled comedy, and the best children’s shows. The multi-functional venue can also accommodate conferences, meetings, and live screenings.

Production states: "See the job description download for full details of the role and responsibilities, and contact us if you have any questions about the role. Previous technical and leadership experience in a live entertainment context is essential, but this does not have to be a theatre and we are keen to hear from candidates from a wide range of backgrounds. The role is offered on an annualised hours basis, with payment for 120 premium hours included in the salary. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer and strive to provide a stage for everyone. Onstage and off, we hold ourselves accountable for nurturing an inclusive culture. Find out more about us and our values at atg.co.uk and careers.atg.co.uk. We are a Disability Confident Committed Employer, which means that we are taking action to ensure that people with disabilities and long-term health conditions feel supported, engaged, and able to fulfill their potential in the workplace. We will offer an interview or recruitment event to disabled candidates who tell us they wish to participate in the scheme and who demonstrate in their application that they best meet the essential criteria for the role. Where we receive more applications than we are reasonably able to interview for any given role, we will retain applications for the next available interview opportunity wherever possible."
