London Theatre Company, Finance Director
London Theatre Company

  • Project Details
Seeking a finance director for the London Theatre Company.

Company states: "We are looking for a Finance Director to lead London Theatre Company’s finance function and play an important role in its senior management team during a key phase of the company’s existence, as we build on a successful emergence from the pandemic through our current extended run of Guys and Dolls and the opening of our joint venture Lightroom in our second space in King’s Cross. We recognise the requirements ahead as a result of changed circumstances following the pandemic, including our £6.5m Culture Recovery Fund loan, and are looking for someone with a creative and entrepreneurial outlook who is flexible enough to balance artistic and commercial imperatives.

Reporting to the Co-Founder/Chief Executive and serving on the senior leadership team, you will oversee financial strategy, operations and compliance, leading on forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, accounting, and budgeting. You will work closely with the Director of Productions and advise and partner with teams across the company to develop budgeting and financial planning abilities by providing financial expertise, establishing strong systems, refining processes, and developing strong financial literacy to ensure accountability and ownership across the company. You will ensure the highest standards of financial management and guide how the company manages income, expenses and cash flow in a fast-moving and evolving sector, marrying an understanding of diverse business operations with an appreciation for creative excellence and exemplary visitor experiences. You will also attend company Board meetings.

The finance function currently consists of a Head of Finance, a Company Accountant, a Payroll and HR Generalist and two Apprentices, with an external consultant used to support work as required. This team also provides the finance function for our joint venture Lightroom, hosted at our space in King’s Cross, working with Lightroom’s own Finance Director.

We expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader, and someone with exceptional people skills, business acumen and a passion for creativity and culture. If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you."
