KSTU FOX 13 has an opening for an experienced television Audio Technician to join our team of broadcast professionals. The ideal candidate has experience with broadcast audio equipment, live newscasts, and strong computer skills. Must have the desire to learn, train and lead with excellence. Experience working in a broadcast news organization is highly desired.ResponsibilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent (Audio Engineering Degree) or technical certification preferred.Previous experience as an audio technician, preferably doing “live” on-air work in a Television, radio or professional recording environment, knowledge of working news operation a plus.Aptitude for operating broadcasting audio equipment, IFB systems, Mix-Minus. Ability to work with a variety of people and project a professional image.Proven record of dependability and ability to work a variety of schedules including weekends and holidays to meet company needs.Must have studio mixing techniques utilizing multiple sources working under high pressure in a fast-paced environment. QualificationsPrefer applicants with some post-high school education in a related field or equivalent experiencePrefer applicants that are familiar with the operation of large audio consoles, and other processing equipment including limiters, compressors, and audio effects.Video editing skills a plus.    Software skills: Windows, Mac, Final Cut Pro Cake Walk or similar.
