It has just been launched by award winning executive producer, Alan Brown, who is looking for a Senior Development Producer to join his team on an initial 6 month contract to help originate factual and entertainment formats and high-end documentary for the top commissioners in the UK and in the USA.In the role of Senior Development Producer, you will be a driving force for the label’s new slate of ideas. You will enjoy the responsibility of thinking and shaping new concepts, be able to create a sense of fun in the team and will have a passion for interrogating new formats. You will also have a flair for writing your own materials, managing the work of others, arranging pitch meetings and be great at presenting to buyers.To assist you in this role, you will also have access to the incredible resources within the wider Sony group including the music and publishing teams.Key Responsibilities will include:Generation of your own new ideas. 25%Creating and conducting a framework for varied brainstorming. 15%Researching existing ideas. 25%Making pitch documents and taster tapes for buyers. 20%Arranging pitch meetings and present to commissioners. 15%Qualifications and/or Experience Required:Typically 4 years of television development experience, with 2 years television production experienceIn depth knowledge of the broadcasting and OTT market in the UKHigh level of writing ability, selling the idea and having a great reason why it should be made right now.Visual flair for creating eye catching treatments, using Powerpoint and PhotoshopA passion for music and popular culture, we’re going to be making shows in that worldAbility to self-shoot and cut taster tapes, using Adobe PremiereConfident in public presentationEnjoy collaborative working and getting the best out of everyone around them.
