About me

Hello, my name is Massimo Giovara, I started as a theatre actor and voice-over talent in 1988, working with some of the best theatre companies in Italy. I received voice-over and dubbing training and have worked extensively in Italian and English voice-over and dubbing. I have also gained experience in the movie and TV industry.
I am a senior voice-over talent who runs a home recording studio with a treated vocal booth and professional equipment. My personal skills range from English-Italian translation (Cambridge B2 level), voice overdubbing (professional since 1988), direction, audio editing and synchronization, end-to-end audio ads production, app localization, audio narration ACX standards (end-to-end), scriptwriting, and proofreading. I produce complete HQ Audiobooks, commercials, movie dubbing. I can edit productions doing video synchronization too.
Versatility is one of the best descriptions for my voice that ranges from happy and young to old and wise.
Being a singer too, I have no problems in considering many tonal modules for each sentence or piece of script I work on.

Additional skills:
B2 Cambridge English certificate, translating from English to Italian and vice versa is a fundamental skill I use in all my activities.
Degree in Language Philosophy, my knowledge of the translation field is grounded in a deep and general vision. I translated theatre plays, songs, technical scripts, and philosophical and psychological articles.

I composed many soundtracks and songs for bands, singers, and theatre shows, including children's shows produced by National Theatres. I love musical theatre and I have good knowledge about the history of music in general.
