About me
Turned 40 in February. Decided to follow my passion and fulfil a childhood ambition to work as an actor. I have some experience working as a supporting artist and currently building my showreel through the UK Screen Acting Academy (Premium Class).I have been on many film sets and have experience working as an extra but only did this for learning how a film set works during production. I’ve also been to a few castings and auditions. I’m always going to work hard to continuously improve and learn. I don’t see acting as work - it’s purely a great passion of mine and I genuinely love everything about the industry... I believe I will need a break along the way but the harder I work the luckier I will get...!!
Screen acting is where I hope to be. Character wise I can play a professional, serious or leary type, comedy role or a tough guy, hardman, gangster type. I’m also well equipped to play a character full of ego or even a vulnerable person...
In class at the UK Screen Acting Academy we are all aspiring actors that attend the course and we are interested in pursuing a career in acting and our ambition is treated with respect. We are shown how to develop a character, learn the mechanics of screen acting and understand what's expected on a film set.
I am taught method acting with a psychological approach to create depth in my performance on screen.
We explore the views of Sanford Meisner, Lee Strasberg and Stella Adler learning script analysis, reactive work, casting range, building our showreel and emotional recall allowing myself, the actor, to deliver a true performance on screen.
Additional skills:
Through method acting I am learning how to develop a character and work with scripts.
LEE STRASBERG &
A PSYCHOLOGICAL APPROACH
Learning how to develop my techniques to deliver a true emotion on screen.
Currently building my showreel and loving the journey - only wish I had got involved 25 years ago!!
Additional information:
I am dedicated, hard working and determined to succeed and develop my talent
