Highlights

One of my favorite roles was that of Mrs. Crachit in A Christmas Carol. After being cast, a good friend of mine told me of her dislike for Mrs. Crachit. I did not understand her dislike of the woman till I did some research and saw what she had; in most, not all portrayals of the character. I promised my friend that My Mrs. Crachit would be different. She would be a woman worth all the offal treatment Bob goes through. After the show opened I not only won the admiration of my friend but of the local critic as well.
“There are many emotive moments throughout this production, but to me the very best may have been missed entirely by the audience. It’s the exchange between the refreshingly cheerful and strong Mrs. Crachit (April Noel) and humble Bob Crachit (Thomas Cynor) as he recounts visiting Tiny Tim’s grave. It’s the simple act of Noel reaching for Cynor’s hand; they weave their fingers together and hold on.“
I would very much like to play Mrs. Crachit again some day. -
An actress experienced with scripted, half scripted and completely improvisational performances face to face, from a stage, through a microphone and projected on a screen. April has played a variety of characters; from the girl next door, to the saucy vixen, to the stern mother. April is able to take direction well and enjoys collaborating with people; being able to give the production team what they are wanting for the project.
