About me

I am an actor, writer and musician for theatre and film. I am currently based in Epsom, Surrey after recently graduating from the University of Bristol with a First Class honours degree in Theatre and Performance Studies BA. My time at the University gave me valuable experience in devised collaboration, undertaking many projects across my studies focused on teamwork, adaptation and abstraction. I feel I work well in a rehearsal room and love bouncing off others' energy and experiences. This is vital for an engaging performance.

I have loved performing since I was very young and writing music. I am a singer songwriter and perform my own music, working under the name 'FAT CHARLIE'. We recently released our debut single 'La Luna'. I have a tenor voice and play guitar, ukulele and the spoons. I recently performed at the Bristol Old Vic's Open Stage event and my songs focus on storytelling and humour. My experience as a musician means I am confident performing and devising as an actor musician. I have acted as a musical director and composer for guitar and voice on a few devised projects including an adaptation of Doctor Faustus and an adaptation of the Three Little Pigs.

Recently I have begun writing my own projects for theatre and film. This has been a wonderful experience. My first play 'SWAMPED' had me dabbling in the genres of surrealism, absurdism and abstract poetry, and this is currently in development with Bristol based company, 'muddilytheatre. and presented work at the Bristol Old Vic's Open Stage event in 2019. Last year I began working on a one-man show focused on toxic masculinity, entitled 'MANSPLAINED'. This is currently in development with 'LEFT BOLLOCK Productions', a collaboration project with myself and other graduates and presented work at the Tobacco Factory Theatres' Prototype evening in 2019.
