About me
As well as my other commitments I am a scout. I have been a young leader in Beavers and cubs and I am training to be a leader of cubs. I help with the running of a variety of activities. With the scouts I have completed my Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards and I’m currently working towards my Gold award. I have also received the Wilson Award for scouting; this is given to someone for hard work and commitment.I am a very hard working person with many different interests, who enjoys meeting new people; I believe that this will be beneficial to my performance career. I can work effectively on my own and in a group and I enjoy challenges and new experiences very much.

Drama and performing has always been a passion of mine. I am currently studying a HNC in Performing arts. Previous to this I studied A levels in Drama and Theatre Studies, Music and Philosophy and Ethics. I was invited to take part in the LAMDA Summer School. This was focused on Shakespeare; on the course we studied Historical Dance, Stage Combat and the Alexander Technique to name just a few. This was a very worthwhile experience where I learnt and developed many different skills.
I am greatly enjoying my current studies at Barking College where we have had the opportunity to experience a wide range of performance styles and techniques, including absurd theatre, Brecht’s Epic theatre, Naturalism and theatre of the Absurd. I am very much looking forward to the more detailed study that a drama school course would allow. I have been in college productions of ‘Metamorphosis’ by Kafka, ‘Out of Their Heads’ by Marcus Romer, ‘Teechers’ by John Godber, Road by Jim Cartwright and ‘Stye of the Eye’ by Christopher Durang. Next term I will participate in a theatre in education project touring local schools with a devised show.
I am currently a member of Shenfield Operatic Society, this has given me experience of working and performing in a professional theatre, I have at present done three musicals with them, ‘Crazy For You’, ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ and ‘Hello Dolly.’ This has added to my understanding in working with different people and in a theatre.
