Highlights
-
I have just returned to Melbourne after 5 years training and working as an actress in the UK. I have over a decades worth of performing experience ranging from Shakespeare to musicals to new writing. Whilst in the UK I was able to perform in a number of venues both in London and regionally, and worked with a variety of theatre companies. I studied the Meisner technique whilst at university, as well as Stage Combat and Shakespeare & Voice. Most recently I co-created a new family comedy with Cambridge-based theatre company ThisEgg - this resulted in a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe and will go on to tour the UK in 2018.
Most of my experience is theatre-based but I am keen to gain as much film work as I can now that I am based in Australia. I believe that training in theatre has given me the opportunity to fine tune my ability to adapt to various performance styles with ease, letting me explore voice and movement in great depth. As such, I am confident with producing both naturalistic and absurd, comic performances. I am adept at accents and have played a range of female roles, both young and old.
I am passionate about performing and the arts primarily because it allows people from all walks of life to meet on common ground, and I hope to continue learning and working in this environment and making the most of all that the Australian arts scene has to offer.
