About me
British born, Bermudian raised actress Helena Pipe, considers the stage her home and believes that the arts have been a pivotal part of her growth. She caught the acting bug as a child, when chosen to play the role of Fagin in her primary school's production of Charles Dickens, "Oliver Twist". Since then Pipe has been a lover of all things theatre!Ambivalent about pursuing a degree in theatre, Helena was reassured that it was the only way to go after a standing ovation-worthy performance in her senior year of high school. Helena played the role of the Cowardly Lion in "The Wizard of Oz", and the decision proved to be a success with her being accepted into the sought after, Dalhousie University Acting program.
Whilst in the program Helena was able to secure leading roles such as Medea in Euripides "Medea" and Mrs. Smith in Ionesco's "The Bald Soprano". Her time in the Dalhousie Acting program pushed her love for theatre to new heights and she successfully graduated from the program with honors.
After graduating, Helena was able to work professionally in Nova Scotia. She had starring roles in productions such as "In This World" by top Canadian Playwright Hanna Moscovitch and Sister Chantelle in "Bare, A Pop Opera". Most recently, Helena has been seen in TROIKA Bermuda's Hit production of "The Color Purple."
With her limitless faith Helena believes that there is much more to come, and she can't wait to see what's in store!
