I've spent the last three years training at the University of Warwick, well-known for producing very high quality theatre. Whilst there, I performed in over twenty productions, including several lead roles: Jennifer in Martin Crimp's 'The Misanthrope'; Sybil in Noel Coward's 'Private Lives'; Celia in Shakespeare's 'As You Like It', and the Marquise de Merteuil in an adaptation of Choderlos de Laclos' 'Dangerous Liaisons'. I am an extremely adaptable actress, as shown by the great variety of roles detailed in my CV. I particularly enjoy roles that require either physical or emotion dexterity, and present a challenge. I have extensive stage experience, in both classical and contemporary acting styles.
I am also an ensemble member of three theatre companies: FatGit Theatre, Whole Hog Theatre, and Ginterval Theatre. I have performed as part of these theatre companies in several different capacities, in professional venues on national tours, in Fringe venues around the country, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and as part of the National Student Drama Festival. As part of FatGit Theatre I am currently working on a play showing at the Soho Theatre, an adaptation of George Saunders' short story 'Winky', playing the character of Winky.
For the last six months I have been working with Ray Knight Casting Agency, through which I have been in several television and screen works, including 'Call the Midwife', 'Demand More' for Sky, and 'Eastenders'. I have found the experience of being on film and television sets an invaluable learning tool. Since working for Ray Knight, I have progressed from role of background extra, and am now being given roles for which I have received personal direction, and even feature work. I have also been working on gaining my own screen-acting experience, and have completed a number of short films over the last few months. I have found the transition from stage to screen to be both easy and enjoyable.
Thank you for your time.
