About me
I am currently a part-time mature PhD drama student at Queen Mary University of London. As a a solo artist I create female personas and investigate heritage and mental health.I have been training regularly at The Actors Centre in Meisner, voice, accents, movement and physical theatre, as well as with Lecoq expert Ed Woodall.
I would love to broaden my experience of film as I enjoy being part of a creative team.
Acting experience:
I've written and performed my own work, including a full length one woman show at the Blue Elephant Theatre in London. I have a lot of experience of film sets through starting out as a background artist, and I've learnt a lot from small parts in short films.
Additional skills:
I'm a linguaphile who picks up languages and overseas accents quickly. I've had some basic stunt training (falling and crashing into walls), and thanks to regular dance lessons I can take choreographic direction. My writing background means I'm able to improvise and develop characters fast.
Additional information:
My background in journalism, publishing and teaching, as well as being a child refugee gives me plenty of real life experience to draw on as an actor.
