Highlights
-
Louis Hall has appeared in film, television, theatre productions and has recently been awarded Best Leading Actor from both the Rome Prisma International Film Awards and Feel the Reel International Film Awards, for his lead role in award winning short film A Renaissance. Over the summer he spent two months in Italy starring as the lead in the feature film Baggage Red, and he is currently in the process of writing his own feature, Where Foxes Lie, which is due to be filmed in the highlands of Scotland in 2020.
Since the age of 7, Louis has nurtured a versatility and understanding which allows him to connect with characters both on stage and screen. He has worked extensively in productions of Shakespeare, Ibsen, Chekhov and contemporary writers of the 20th and 21st century. Recently he directed and acted in a One for the Road (Harold Pinter) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival which attained 5 stars, playing the role of Nicholas, a vulnerable, violent dictator. The play Feeding the Moonfish (Barbara Wiechmann) will be Louis’ London stage debut.
Louis grew up in Scotland and has a vehement connection to nature. He has ridden horses all his life and is a highly talented musician. He plays the guitar, piano, and the drums and has a band based in London. He has been taught at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, the National Youth Theatre and was offered a place at LAMDA when he was 18. His devotions off the screen are travel (recently returning from the Camino de Santiago), writing (Louis is a published poet and is currently writing a novel about his time living in Naples) and philosophy (he has received a degree from the University of Bristol for Philosophy and Religion).
Louis is determined to create the best possible work he can offer and use every inch of potential that he has; to feel worth the light of day is his philosophy and his fire.
