About me
The only way to deal with yourself as an Actor is to follow the emotional truth of what you have to do under the imaginary circumstances. And as you develop you become confident. You come to believe in what you're doing and trust it because it's out of you.I have spent the past six years as far away as possible from this industry, why? I needed to complete the inner work that needed attention. I am now grounded, emotionally and physically in touch with myself as an Actor and able to accept that I am a messy individual, and thats ok. I want to watch imperfect humans on stage, they are far more interesting, I want to create gritty, dirty, filthy drama, and without my break, I would not be able to know who I am, what I like, and what I want to achieve as an Actor.
I have spent time playing, travelling, creating, mediating.I trained as a Yoga Teacher, I worked every job possible and I studied; I've read, watched plays, taken classes in Meisner, Laban, Shakespeare, Chekov, Brecht, Acting for stage and screen and finally decided to apply to study at Drama School. We shall see what the future holds. Bring on the auditions.
"Life beats down and crushes our souls and theatre reminds us that we have one. At least the type of theatre that I'm interested in; that is, theatre that moves an audience. You have the opportunity to literally impact the lives of people if they work on material that has integrity. But today, most actors simply want to be famous. Well, being an actor was never supposed to be about fame and money. Being an actor is a calling because you've been given the ability, the gift to inspire humanity." Stanford Meisner
