About me
I'm embarking on a third age performing career - something I've always dreamed of. I originally completed dance teacher training at Laban, as my parents didn't consider theatre as a 'proper' job. I've danced throughout my life as a teacher or a (mostly amateur) performer. Following my semi-retirement from freelance dance teaching, I'm now performing as a contemporary dancer and doing film shoots as a supporting artist. I'd like the chance to tackle roles on stage or screen that utilise my dance and developing acting skills before the body gives up!Additional skills:
Experience in many dance styles. Exercise teacher, beginner fencing, micro scooter, roller blading, trampolining.
Additional information:
Initial training: Art of Movement Studio. Recent live dance performances with Protein Dance, Gary Clarke, Rhiannon Brace Dance, Take That (as a volunteer at the O2). Performer in Olympic 2012 Closing and Glasgow Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremonies. Backing dancer to Jon Culshaw on 'Let's Dance for Comic Relief' on BBC1. Supporting artist - Allied, Current War, Peterloo, Kingsman 2, ITV Racing Introduction, Juliet Naked (TV), Strike (TV). Cameo role - Jive Aces music video Lovin' Life.
