Highlights
-
I have been fortunate enough to have been given a wide variety of roles in amatuer Musical Theatre productions. Those include Fraulein Schneider (Cabaret) in my Performing Arts A level Exam, Grizabella (CATS) in a school production aged 14, Mabel (Fame the musical) in a local ametuer production which was then taken to New York, off-Broadway. Most recently I have also played Kate Monster (Avenue Q) which toured Cambridgeshire and was later taken to the Edinburgh Fringe festival earlier this year. I have also taken part is straight plays, having played the role of Elizabeth Barry in Stephen Jeffrey's "The Libertine" and Ponthia in Garcia Lorca's "The House of Bernada Alba."
In 2014, I joined the acclaimed "West End Masterclass" which is a weekly Sunday masterclass session where a hand-picked group of young performers have the opportunity to train with those already in the West End and professional business and have been lucky enough to have been taught by the likes of Michael Xavier, Scott Harrison, Lindsey Page, Louise Dearman, Ben Richards and many others. -
Music has always been my first love and passion. I began having vocal coaching lessons from the age of 8, first classically and then at the age of 14, more specifically in Musical Theatre. I have sung at numerous concerts and festivals in and around Cambridge singing anything from Pop, to Musical Theatre, to Opera. I have achieved Grade 5 distinction in classical singing and Grade 4 distinction in Piano, which has been self-taught. In most concerts I have partaken in, I have been able to accompany myself on piano. In 2014, I took part in West End Masterclass' Performer of the Year competition which mainly looked at your singing ability and performance skills. The competition was judged by representatives from Curtis Brown Agency and Ben Newsome. In my first term of being at West End Masterclass, I was honoured to be named the winner of the competition, giving me a free scholarship to West End Masterclass for a term.
