About me
I trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. After serving my apprenticeship as a dancer with Dougie Squires' 2nd Generation, which involved me in a great deal of overseas travel, I made my West End debut in the original production of Jesus Christ Superstar. This led to a spate of West End appearances, including Bubbling Brown Sugar with Billy Daniels & Elaine Delmar, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg at the Phoenix Theatre, Grease at the Astoria Theatre, Camelot with Richard Harris & Fiona Fullerton, the West End premiere of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas at Drury Lane, Peter Pan with Bonnie Langford & Joss Ackland, Jumpers with Felicity Kendall & Paul Eddington & Bless the Bride with a cast that included Ruth Madoc & Simon Williams, and Forbidden Broadway at the Fortune Theatre. I also appeared with the RSC in both Poppy & The Wizard of Oz.
I have made many appearances in the provinces, including the world premiere of the musical Bunter as the games master Larry Lascelles. I have also toured the world on the SS Canberra as part of the Stadium Theatre Co, giving me the chance not only to appear in a wide range of different productions, but also to visit all 5 continents. More recently I was seen as Cmdr. Harbison in the No. 1 national tour of South Pacific & as Magaldi in the tour of Evita.
In 1998, I played Greg both in London & on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Terence McNally's Pulitzer Prize winning Love! Valor! Compassion! This earned the whole cast a Stage Award for Acting Excellence. Recently I have also been seen as Edward De Vere in Edward's Presents at the Union Theatre, the evil Lord Jeptha in Paul Morrisey's exciting new musical Toys and playing the central character of the Minister in the satirical revue The Wind Thing.
Most recently I was one of the featured dancers in the feature film Finding Your Feet, which stars Imelda Staunton, Celia Imrie, Timothy Spall, Joannna Lumley and David Hayman. It's due out in February 2018.
